On your boat the impeller slides onto the splined shaft. You remove the inlet grate to get at it. The Clymer manual which you can usually find on E-bay has pretty good instructions for most general maintenance. Factory one is slightly better but way more expensive.

This boat is a load of fun, very easy to maneuver. One of the nice features is the throttle has the traditional forward/reverse mechanism. Many jet boats have 1 lever for forward/reverse/neutral, and another lever (or two) for the engine. The single lever on this model makes it very intuitive to drive.
